ISSUE AFFECTING THE EMPLOYER SUPPORT PAYMENT SCHEME
Defence is aware of an issue affecting the payment of some approved Employer Support Payment Scheme applications. Defence is working to fix this technical issue as a matter of urgency to ensure the processing of all approved payments are made as soon as possible. This issue is not effecting the submission of ESPS applications, which can still be made via the ESPS Online Claim System as normal.

Defence has recognised five Queensland employers for outstanding support of ADF reservists in their civilian workplaces.

Employer Support Awards will be presented to the organisations for their commitment to supporting Navy, Army and Air Force reservists over a sustained period or through a special effort, such as during the Defence involvement in Operations including Bushfire Assist and COVID-19 Assist operations.

Reservists from across Queensland nominated their civilian employers for the awards with an exceedingly high number of supportive employers nominated.

Defence congratulates the Queensland award recipients:

 - Small Private Subway Alexander Hills
 - Medium Private INLOC International
 - Large Private Hastings Deering Caterpillar
 - Public Sector Department of Transport and Main Roads
 - Not For Profit Canterbury College

JLB Yaran (Medium Private) and Gladstone Regional Council (Public Sector) were also recognised with honourable mentions within their respective categories.

Defence representatives will visit the employers to present the awards.

Recognition certificates will also be presented to all employers nominated by their reservist employees.
